THE BRIEF
Destination Sydney Surrounds South (DSSS) includes the five local government areas of Kiama, Shellharbour, Shoalhaven, Wingecarribee and Wollongong.
Through consultation with Destination NSW, DSSS identified the potential economic impact of business events to the local visitor economy and the need for operators in the region to have the understanding, skills and products to effectively respond and manage this unique market and take advantage of off peak times such as Monday to Thursday.
DSSS engaged Mayvin Global to design and deliver a Mentor Program and Educational Workshops, to build capability in the region and realise the economic benefits of business events in the tourism marketing mix.
